Dr. Hans-Peter Meister

CEO, executive board spokesman

The doctor in biology founded IFOK in 1995 with the conviction that change cannot be achieved against the will of those it affects. In founding IFOK, he therefore aimed to establish new forms of communication and participation. His credo: Innovation is only possible with the right communication, which gets target groups involved, rather than simply providing them with information. He reached this conclusion as a result of his professional experiences as head of the department for political communication at BASF AG and press spokesmen for the Federal Ministry of the Environment. Meister teaches political communication at Georgetown University in Washington. He publishes works on his methods, and his central book “Beteiligung – ein Programm für Politik, Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft” [Participation – a programme for politics, business and society] appeared in 2007. Hans-Peter is also a member of the supervisory board of Klaus Lurse Personal + Management AG.
