Anyone who could invest was welcomed with open arms. Today, conversely, investors and project planners often encounter major resistance and difficulties when implementing their projects.

Social media and HR work: Potential identified. And exploited?
HR experts rarely use Facebook, Twitter etc. for their work. While most of them agree that social media are becoming increasingly important, few are prepared for the new form of communication. There is usually no clear strategy on how to use social networks. These are the findings of a study in which consulting company IFOK surveyed more than 800 HR experts in Germany.

IFOK study: Adapting to climate change
The underestimated challenge
Climate change is no longer a future scenario – it’s happening now: We face the threat of floods, famines, and new diseases. But around the world, government and business are scarcely prepared for the massive changes that climate change will bring. Most countries are at the stage of non-binding programmes and are developing pilot projects. This was revealed in the IFOK study “Floating houses and mosquito nets: Global strategies for adapting to climate change”.

To do so, they are looking for new partners and new forms of cooperation. These are the central findings of a study in which IFOK questioned 1,800 companies in Germany, from small businesses through to global players.
